Ticking things off the list
We have been slowly ticking things off our list of things to do in the summer. One of the things that was on the list was to take Daddy to the Wetlands Centre. It's a lovely centre for birds, pond creatures, etc. We have a membership to it because as well as being a spacious enclosed outdoorsy area it also has an interesting children's play area outside and indoor activities as well. However, after having this membership for a year, Dean has still not made it to the Wetlands. The children and I have gone MANY times, because you can get there by bus (the days before I drove) and it is has an ample car park so it is easy to access by car as well (now that I drive). So, for my birthday I wanted to spend some time outdoors with my family. Ideally I would've gone outside of London, but Dean is still running around with RU and trying to prepare a sermon for Sunday - so his time is limited! We were able to spend the afternoon at the Wetlands Centre and it was a great day for it! In the children's play area there is a 'rain cloud' that sprinkles down water randomly, and because it was hot, the kids were able to enjoy this a lot more. Levi was quite hot and bothered and struggling to get to sleep so we decided to cool him off. He loved the 'rain'...as you can see!
